Training Weekend: 16-17 July

A grand weekend of training for the Four Musketeers.

Saturday morning was dedicated to a turbo session whilst watching the previous nights Tour De France. John ‘Athos’ Mergler watching so intensely that he started taking corners as if he was in the race. Not a great idea when you’re on a turbo trainer. The team then head to Centennial Park for a long run.

Cycling down to Wollongong and back awoke the legs on Sunday. The weather kept up its end of the bargain for the most part, creating delightful conditions for the monster climb back out of the Gong. The team then backed it up with a 20km run to Watsons bay and back, then called it a weekend. Training from here on will be building week to week on the road to Kona, so stay tuned.
